About the Speaker
Nationally syndicated personal finance columnist Michelle Singletary is perhaps best known as the author of the award-winning “The Color of Money” column for The Washington Post, carried by about 120 newspapers, including The Buffalo News. She recently contributed her down-to-earth advice to the national WNED documentary, YOUR LIFE, YOUR MONEY, which premiered on PBS in September.
Singletary is a prominent contributor and guest expert for major media outlets, including National Public Radio and PBS’ Tavis Smiley. Her personal finance segments have appeared on Oprah, The View and major network news programs. Her own national television program for TV One, Singletary Says, has been described as “a personal finance reality show.” Her books include Your Money and Your Man: How You and Prince Charming Can Spend Well and Live Rich and the upcoming The Power to Prosper: 21 Days to Financial Freedom.
