**New date for postponed concert due to G20 disruptions is scheduled for
December 12, 2010**
Andre Rieu, the modern King of Waltz, announces a new date for the concert that was scheduled for June 26 but had to be postponed last-minute due to rioting in downtown Toronto. The Toronto stop of the ‘Celebration of Music Tour’ is now scheduled for December 12 at 8pm.
All tickets remain valid and as allocated and do not need to be exchanged.
Andre Rieu and his 55 piece orchestra had already conducted the soundcheck last Saturday when the developments in downtown Toronto forced Mr. Rieu to postpone the concert.
“With the protests taking a violent turn and getting so close to the Air Canada Centre we did not want to put our fans in danger, their safety was my number one priority” says Rieu. “But the Toronto fans are close to my heart and I don’t want to disappoint them, so we have added a date to the December tour”. Rieu goes great lengths to add this tour stop, bringing equipment in from Vancouver and flying the orchestra in from Orlando, where Rieu performs on December 11th. |
