Volunteer Fair 2007 One-stop shopping for volunteer opportunities in Erie/Niagara Counties Saturday, March 31 ● 10 a.m.-2 p.m. WNED Studios 140 Lower Terrace, across from Adam’s Mark Hotel, downtown Buffalo.

Meet representatives from more than 35 human service and cultural organizations.

Volunteer Fair 2007, which is organized by WNED, seeks to:

• Raise awareness of the need for volunteers in Erie and Niagara Counties; and
• Match the specific needs of non-profit organizations with individuals of diverse backgrounds, skills and experience who have an interest in volunteering.

Volunteers are the energizing life force of every non-profit organization. And Buffalo has a long-standing reputation as the City of Good Neighbors, given the number of its citizens who donate their time and talent to various community efforts.

“The Volunteer Fair will inspire even more individuals to get involved,” said Lisa Napier, Volunteer Manager at WNED. “With little effort, potential volunteers can learn about different assignments, choose the one that is right for them and sign up on the spot.”

Volunteer opportunities range from answering phones or helping with mailings to gardening, giving tours, assisting with events and much more.
