A Tonawanda native and magna cum laude graduate of Buffalo State College, Caya has held news reporter positions with radio stations in Jamestown and Buffalo. He has already garnered a number of Associate Press Awards, including two First Place finishes in 2003 for Best News/Documentary feature and Best News Series.

Chris grew up listening to public radio and watching public television, and feels very passionate about the mission and quality of the service.

In his free time, he enjoys bicycling and other outdoor activities. On the inside, he says he “loves great food and loves to cook.”
