Mike Desmond is a veteran broadcast and print reporter who carries the ball for WNED-AM during the late hours. In addition to occasional street reporting, Mike prepares stories for morning broadcast, works on some episodes of the Forum live interview program, and hosts one of the station’s most popular programs -- THE LAW LINE.

During his 25-plus years with the company, Mike was a theater and film reviewer (beginning in 1984); joined the former WEBR in 1988 (where he served as News Editor); acted as associate producer and writer for 11 hour-long documentaries on WNED-TV, then returned to news radio at WNED-AM 970.

Before joining the station, Mike wrote for commercial TV and spent many years as a reporter and editor for Buffalo’s daily newspapers.
