This veteran Buffalo broadcaster is an avid public radio fan who joined the WNED news team in February 2008.
As the MORNING EDITION host and anchor, he delivers the local news in between NPR reports from around the world from 5 am to10 am weekdays.
On the airwaves for more than 20 years, Moran was a top-rated midday personality at WJYE 96.1 FM throughout the 1990s.
More recently, he traded music for information radio, producing news and traffic reports for 17 MetroNetworks/Westwood One broadcast outlets. Western New Yorkers may recognize him as the former traffic reporter on KISS 98.5 and WIVB Channel 4.
Moran’s voice also is familiar to local sports fans. He serves as the radio play-by-play announcer for Canisius College Golden Griffins basketball and hockey games. He also is the public address announcer at Buffalo Sabres home games.
