"I attribute my longevity in public radio (I started in college radio in 1965) to my love for classical music," says Steve. "I really see my announcing role as a mission to both uplift and enlighten. Classical music to me is endlessly fascinating, and I hope I convey that sense to the listener."
"My favorite music begins with Beethoven and the Romantic era and continues into the 20th century with Mahler, Copland and Shostakovich."
