Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra Plays Vivaldi and O’Connor: Seasons of Life

Viewed by more than 1 million people, this concert performance marked the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra’s first appearance on PBS in nearly 40 years.

Composer/violinist Mark O’Connor joins with the Orchestra for a performance of his work, “The American Seasons.” Each of the four movements in this piece represents a stage of life: birth, adolescence, maturity and old age. Also on the program is violinist Catherine Cho performing Antonio Vivaldi’s much earlier work on the same subject, “The Four Seasons.”
