Western New York Chamber Orchestra conductor Glen Cortese

When a composer writes a 9th symphony, it's a big deal.  For Mahler, his "ninth" was "Das Lied von der Erde" (The Song of the Earth) but the forces needed to perform it are so huge that it's rarely offered.  Western New York Chamber Orchestra conductor Glen Cortese has figured out how to do it in the intimate Rosch Recital Hall on the SUNY Fredonia campus, Sunday, February 9th at 4:00pm.  Heroic Tenor Mark Deaton and Maestro Cortese explain all to WNED.
