Call the Midwife, Season 4

The season begins Sunday, March 29 at 8 p.m.

Season 4 finds the nurses, midwives and nuns from Nonnatus House in a new decade—the 1960s. A new nurse, Barbara Gilbert, joins Nonnatus, and after a less-than-ideal start, she earns the respect of her colleagues by helping a new mother overcome her struggles. Trixie is up against one of the most emotionally draining cases of her careers, and Sister Evangelina finally agrees to undergo tests for her abdominal pain. The Turners make a domestic deal that is uncharacteristic for the 1950s and 60s.

Ghost Town Blues Band is a modern blues band with an intimate knowledge of both blues, rock and improvisational jams. At the same time, the band’s raw energy and intensity is reminiscent of some of the best blues that rock n' roll has ever offered. The band can turn on a dime from North Mississippi hill country grooves to classic electric urban blues and funk.  This Memphis-based, gritty, six-piece has been touring the U.S. since its inception in 2009, gaining a strong following within the blues and Jam Band circuit. Ghost Town Blues Band were 2nd place winners at the 2014 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tenn.
