On Friday, April 18, 2008, Harvard Professor Edward L. Glaeser appeared at the WNED Studios in Buffalo in response to a highly critical article he wrote in CITY JOURNAL (Autumn 2007) regarding Buffalo’s future.

At the forum, Dr. Glaeser discussed his perspectives on Buffalo’s ongoing viability, its implications for the region, and expanded upon his fundamental arguments about people- versus place-based investment strategies. A panel discussion with local leaders followed on key points raised during the presentation.
