Jim Berryman started in radio in 1989 as a fill-in host for Jazz in the Nighttime at WEBR-AM. The following year, he assumed a full-time position there, working in production and as an afternoon traffic reporter and weekend morning program host.

After a few years in commercial radio, Berryman returned to WNED-AM 970 as the Saturday morning news anchor and program host.

In June 2005, he moved next door to FM, covering Sunday evenings on Classical 94.5/WNED. By 2006, he was on the air weekday mornings for several months before being hired as full-time evening host. He also hosts Classics By Request on Saturday nights.

In addition to good music, Berryman enjoys collecting and restoring antique radios and classic jukeboxes.
