When WNED signed on the air March 30, 1959, Western New York
and Southern Ontario residents were introduced to public broadcasting
and the vision of J. Michael Collins. From 1959 to his retirement
in 1999, Mike led WNED through continued growth, intent on realizing
the mission of enlightening, inspiring, entertaining and educating
our communities. With the advent of new technologies;
the addition of two radio stations; the introduction of a lifelong
learning service; and the creation of the organization's current
headquarters, Mike's vision and leadership have made it possible
for WNED to positively impact generations of viewers and listeners.
Mike and Marilyn Collins have once again taken the lead by endowing
the future of WNED through a planned gift. As WNED
prepares for new eras in technology, education and entertainment,
we will be secured for future generations by those who generously
join The J. Michael and Marilyn Collins Legacy Society by including
WNED in their estate plans through a planned gift. To
join the J. Michael and Marilyn Collins society, ensuring future
generations are positively impact by public broadcasting, your
gift may be made through: Wills and Living
Trusts, Retirement Plans, Insurance,
or Real Estate, as well as Charitable
Trusts. Please take some time to look over this
information and feel free to ask any questions. Contact Jeffrey Bell at 716-845-7031 or email him at jbell@wned.org |
