Buffalo’s Wild Bill Donovan

The man President Eisenhower called “the Last Hero” has been memorialized in story, song and stone.

Yet, the life and legacy of Buffalo native Maj. Gen. William J. Donovan (1883-1959), remain unknown to many. Through this program, two prominent Buffalonians -- political satirist Mark Russell and Judge Salvatore Martoche -- share the remarkable story of this courageous innovator who led the nation’s first intelligence agency. Historical vignettes about Donovan’s life and times also are featured.
