Saving A Landmark: The Darwin Martin House- Buffalo’s Darwin D. Martin House Complex is one of legendary architect Frank Lloyd Wright’s greatest Prairie Style houses.

Hosted by Drew Kahn, this three-part series provides an inside look at the process of restoring this century-old architectural treasure.

Part I: An Ohio brick company replicates the “building blocks” of this historic project. Featured guests include John Courtin, former executive director of the Martin House Restoration Corporation, and restoration architect Ted Lownie.

Part II: The “jewels” of the Martin House -- its stylized art glass windows –- are distinctive Frank Lloyd Wright designs. Also, Lynda Waggoner, Executive Director of Fallingwater, discusses what a Frank Lloyd Wright restoration project can do for a community.

Part III: Explore the Frank Lloyd Wright-Buffalo connection as well as Wright’s legacy in Buffalo and beyond. Guests include architect Eric Lloyd Wright, a grandson of Frank Lloyd Wright; and television writer/producer Tom Fontana (Homicide, Oz), patron of Buffalo’s Frank Lloyd Wright’s Fontana Boathouse.
