BUFFALO, N.Y.—As part of special programming, WNED-TV will air “André Rieu Presents: Live In Maastricht” on Saturday, September 10 at 8 p.m.
André Rieu is back in his hometown of Maastricht in the Netherlands for his traditional summer evening concert at the famous Vrijthof Square. Inspiring music, special guests, stunning costumes and elaborate stage-sets all add to the romantic, festive atmosphere at this homecoming concert.
Special guests include the talented 13-year-old trumpet player, Melissa Venema, 100-member children’s choir from the famous Maastricht School of Music, and the world-famous Mastreechter Staar male vocal choir.
The Dutch violinist and conductor believes that everyone can enjoy classical music. Following the footsteps of Johann Strauss, he encourages his audiences to get out of their seats and waltz in the aisles.
