BUFFALO, N.Y. – WNED-TV will air the all-new concert special, “Celtic Thunder: Voyage” on Wednesday, March 14 at 8 p.m. Two members of Celtic Thunder will be making a live, in-studio appearance during this exciting and entertaining program. WNED-TV will also air the program, “Yanni: Live at San Felipe del Morro” on Thursday, March 15 at 8 p.m.
“Celtic Thunder: Voyage” takes a journey through the varying styles of Celtic and Irish music, from old and traditional standards such as “Lagan Love” to more contemporary, modern Irish songs like “Ride On,” stopping at lively ensembles in a tribute to the Clancy Brothers along the way. The program also features soulful ballads in “Scorn Not His Simplicity” and love songs such as the classic “Black is the Color” to run the gamut of Irish music.
“Yanni: Live at San Felipe del Morro” is Yanni’s 10th PBS special and continues his tradition of spectacular productions spotlighting historical world monuments. In this program, Yanni performs at the Castillo de San Felipe del Morro, better known as El Morro, a 16th century citadel located in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Accompanied by his world renowned 15-piece orchestra, the program features songs from his new album “Truth of Touch.” The two-hour set includes “Santorini,” “The End of August,” “Acroyali,” “One Man’s Dream” and many more.
