BUFFALO, N.Y. – Veteran broadcaster Pat Feldballe will be joining WBFO-FM 88.7 as the new Saturday night blues host.
Feldballe began his career at WBFO in the 1970s and moved on to hold positions at WBUF, WGR, WGRQ and WUWU. He began his production company in 1982 and has been the voice of hundreds of local and national commercials, including Valu Home Centers and Time Life Books. In 2009, Feldballe was inducted into the Buffalo Broadcasters Hall of Fame.
“We are thrilled to welcome Pat back to WBFO. Listeners will immediately recognize his voice and hear his passion for both radio and blues music,” said WBFO Station Manager Jim Ranney.
Feldballe’s first air shift on WBFO will be Saturday, Dec. 8 from 7-11 p.m. He will take the shift previously held by fellow Hall of Fame broadcaster Jim Santella, who is retiring on Dec. 1.
“Music, and blues music in particular, is very important to me,” said Feldballe. “I look forward to returning to my roots on WBFO.”
