(Buffalo, NY- March 25, 2008) - Pollster extraordinaire John Zogby, President & CEO of Zogby International, brings an insiders’ view of the polling process to the Buffalo City Forum and buffet luncheon on Tuesday, April 15 at 12:15 pm in the WNED studios, 140 Lower Terrace, Buffalo. After his presentation entitled “The Political Landscape 2008,” Zogby will answer questions from the audience.
This community speaker series, open to the public, is produced by WNED-AM 970 and Leadership Buffalo, and is sponsored by Independent Health. The hour-long FORUM will be broadcast live (on WNED-AM and wned.org/AM) beginning at 1 pm. (Attendees must be seated by 12:45 pm.) WNED-AM News Director Jim Ranney will host.
A staple on the media scene, Zogby has polled for Reuters News Agency and NBC News. His clients also include nearly every daily newspaper in New York State, including The Buffalo News, as well as television stations throughout the United States. In this pivotal election year, Zogby International is partnering with Reuters and C-SPAN for Election 2008.
In 1996, Zogby alone called the presidential election with pinpoint accuracy. He has been praised as “the most accurate pollster” (Seattle Post Intelligencer, Cleveland Plain Dealer, USA Today) and “the pace setter in the polling business” (New York Post). He has also distinguished himself in Canada, where he called the popular vote victory of the Liberals over the Parti Quebecois in the Quebec election of 1998.
