BUFFALO, N.Y. – WNED-TV will re-air the award-winning program “Downton Abbey - Season 1” on Sunday, Dec. 18 at 8 p.m.
Created by Emmy-winning writer Julian Fellowes, “Downton Abbey” depicts the lives of the noble Crawley family and the staff who serve them. The program is set in the Crawley family’s Edwardian country house in 1912.
Featuring an all-star cast, including Dame Maggie Smith, Hugh Bonneville and Elizabeth McGovern, the series is a winner of six Emmy Awards including “Outstanding Miniseries or Movie.”
“Downton Abbey - Season 2” resumes its story of love and intrigue at an English country estate now mobilized for the trauma of war starting Sunday, Jan. 8, 2012.
