WNED-TV to Broadcast Hit Programming in September

BUFFALO, N.Y. – As part of special programming in September, WNED-TV will air “Celtic Thunder: Voyage,” “Chris Issak: Beyond the Sun Live” and “Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Immunity Solution.”  Fuhrman will be making a live studio appearance during the broadcast of his new special on Sept. 11.

“Celtic Thunder: Voyage,” airing on Sunday, Sept. 9 at 8 p.m., takes a journey through the varying styles of Celtic and Irish music, from old and traditional standards such as “Lagan Love” to more contemporary, modern Irish songs like “Ride On,” stopping at lively ensembles in a tribute to the Clancy Brothers along the way.  The program also features soulful ballads in “Scorn Not His Simplicity” and love songs such as the classic “Black is the Color” to run the gamut of Irish music.

The new special, “Chris Isaak: Beyond the Sun Live,” airing on Monday, Sept. 10 at 8 p.m., showcases the singer in a personal tribute to the glory days of the legendary producer Sam Phillips, his Sun Studio in Memphis and the music created by his heroes. Isaak recaptures the spirit of the original songs with his own brilliant band of stellar musicians, while revealing the heart and soul of his own deeply rooted musical identity.  Isaak performs “Wicked Game,” “Ring of Fire,” “Can’t Help Falling in Love” and many more hits.

In “Dr. Joel Fuhrman’s Immunity Solution,” airing on Tuesday, Sept. 11 at 8 p.m., Fuhrman, a leading expert and board-certified medical specialist in the prevention and reversing of disease, shows us how we can become almost totally resistant to colds, influenza, and other infections. He reviews the overwhelming evidence and nutritional science enabling us to supercharge our immune system to protect our bodies against disease — everything from the common cold to cancer.

Through WNED-TV, ThinkBright and Well/WORLD TV, Classical 94.5/WNED-FM and WBFO 88.7 FM /WNED-AM 970, the member-supported WNED Buffalo/Toronto provides high quality programming and services to local, regional and national audiences that enlighten, inspire, entertain and educate Western New York and Southern Ontario communities.
