"How to Shop for Free" to air on WNED-TV

BUFFALO, N.Y. — As part of special programming, WNED-TV will air “How to Shop for Free” on Monday, September 26 at 9 p.m.  Host Kathy Spencer will be making a live studio appearance during this exciting and informational program.

Consumers are on the lookout for bargains wherever they can find them.  In a time of tight household budgets, Kathy Spencer explains her approach to buying what you need at surprisingly good prices.

Going far beyond the stereotypical Sunday circular, Spencer uncovers the secrets of store club programs, the keys to avoiding consumer scams, the truth about rebates, buy-one/get-one offers, and rain checks.

Whether your goal is to find great deals on gifts or to lower your monthly grocery bill year-round, “How to Shop for Free” offers strategies designed to save you money—without sacrificing quality or brand names— from someone who has thoroughly tested and researched the stores and techniques.  Providing advice for shoppers at every level of frugality, Spencer speaks to all consumers looking to pare down their spending on essential items and indulgences alike.

Through WNED-TV, ThinkBright and Well/WORLD TV, Classical 94.5/WNED-FM and WNED-AM 970, member-supported WNED Buffalo/Toronto provides high quality programming and services to local, regional and national audiences that enlighten, inspire, entertain and educate Western New York and Southern Ontario communities.
