WNED is pleased to announce that WNED’s radio services Classical 94.5/WNED and WNED-AM 970 are now available in Canada on Rogers Communications digital cable radio service.  Classical 94.5/WNED can be heard on channel 938 and WNED-AM 970 can be found on channel 939.  Both are offered in high-quality Dolby stereo sound for Rogers digital cable subscribers.

Classical 94.5/WNED provides one of the few remaining 24-hour classical music services in the country.  Along with an on-going broadcast and production relationship with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Classical 94.5 offers a traditional presentation of classical music in a friendly and approachable manner with programs like PHILHARMONIC FRIDAY (featuring the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra), THE METROPOLITAN OPERA, and CLASSICAL CANADA.  It is also the only FM station in Western New York to broadcast A PRAIRIE HOME COMPANION with Garrison Keillor.

The region's leading provider of news and information programming, WNED-AM 970 mixes the best of NPR, PRI, the CBC, the BBC and other sources with local reporting and community forums. In partnership with Leadership Buffalo, WNED-AM produces the BUFFALO CITY FORUM speaker series.  AM 970 regularly files reports for NPR from our region and has won numerous Associated Press Awards.  Programs offered on WNED-AM include NPR’s MORNING EDITION, ALL THINGS CONSIDERED and BBC WORLD SERVICE.
