(Buffalo, NY) – WNED’s popular live, on-air cooking extravaganza, WNED COOKS, will return after six years, with Eileen Koteras Elibol as host. The newest program will focus on “family favorites” and will air Sat., Feb. 26, 2011, from 11 am to 2 pm.
The general public is invited to share favorite family recipes for a chance to be part of the show. All recipes submitted will be compiled into the official WNED COOKS Family Favorites cookbook. Eight people will be chosen to prepare their recipes live on the air.
The recipe could be original, modified or just simply beloved. Traditional ethnic dishes, desserts, healthy options and creative adaptations are all welcome.
“Fond family memories so often involve preparing and enjoying homemade meals and treats,” says WNED COOKS Producer Mindy Takacs. “This is a great forum to share that special dish your family raves about.”
To participate, submit recipe(s), full name and phone number by December 31 to:
- WNED Cooks: Family Favorites, Horizons Plaza, PO Box 1263, Buffalo, NY 14240;
- Drop off: Artisan Kitchens & Bath, 200 Amherst St., Buffalo.
