On a chilly October day in 2003 a group of community
volunteers from the Jamestown, New York came together
with their camcorders and spent the day videotaping the
people, places and happenings of the Jamestown area.
They came back with some great pictures and stories that
WNED-TV edited together to create this video scrapbook,
Our Town: Jamestown premiered Monday, December
1, 2003 at 8 pm. Touring this quaint area, nestled
in beautiful Chautauqua County, viewers explore nature
and outdoor activities; take a closer look at the city's
architecture, theatres, and brick streets. Jamestown community
members share their affection for their town's history
through monuments and museums, and pay tribute to some
of the area's most famous natives, Lucille Ball, Roger
Tory Peterson and Robert H. Jackson. Volunteers also highlight
some of the everyday activities and regional gems that
make everyday in Jamestown special. |
