The man President Eisenhower called “the Last Hero” has been memorialized in story, song and stone. Yet, the life and legacy of Buffalo native Maj. Gen. William J. Donovan (1883-1959), remain unknown to many. Through this program, two prominent Buffalonians -- political satirist Mark Russell and Judge Salvatore Martoche -- share the remarkable story of this courageous innovator who led the nation’s first intelligence agency. Historical vignettes about Donovan’s life and times also are featured.
