Polish Holiday Traditions on Classical 94.5 WNED

From Sorrow to Joy

From the first bite of pączki on the days before Ash Wednesday, through Wielki Post and to the time when the last pussy willow branch is brandished on Dyngus Day, this is arguably the time when the most solemn and joyous events occur. With song and story, we’ll share the events of this season and explain their importance in the Polish community, the Catholic tradition, and American culture.
