An area in WNED|WBFO’s main corridor has been designated for the WNED|WBFO Legacy member’s recognition.
All donors who have advised WNED|WBFO of their legacy intention (regardless of size) and who have completed the WNED|WBFO Legacy Society enrollment form are added to the legacy wall.
Additional recognition naming opportunities are considered on a case by case basis.
The Foundation and Community Development Department secures grant funding for television and radio productions, education and outreach, as well as for equipment and building needs. The team also issues detailed reports to foundations and the community about the impact of grant funds received.
The National Program Funding Committee, a group of supporters with an interest in original productions, actively supports this work by establishing relationships with major foundations around the country.
2013 saw the establishment of the new President’s Forum, a small group of community leaders who guide the efforts of national impact for WNED|WBFO.
The department also continues to reach out to elected officials to stress the importance of public broadcasting in the region.
