Description: Wine Tour for Two: Any Sunday, May thru September.

Arrowhead Spring Vineyard: 4746 Lockport Town Line Rd, Lockport, NY 14094

Arrowhead Spring Vineyards is a small family winery on the Niagara Wine Trail (USA), with a focus on quality fruits and quality wines. Their wines are crafted by hand in small lots to ensure the best wine is made.

Take a guided tour of the vineyard and learn about their organic growing methods. Next, enter the cool, underground barrel room and taste the wines as they are developing in wine barrels. Learn about barrel aging and blending by blending barrel samples. Finish with a taste of completed wines along with artisan cheese in their scenic tasting room. Leave with a keepsake glass and a wonderful memory of an enjoyable, educational wine experience!

After eight years as Concertmaster of the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra, Michael Ludwig is leaving at the end of this season to pursue an exclusive solo career.  Actually, he's the soloist this weekend at Kleinhans and a few days ago he spoke with WNED's Peter Hall about the history of the Korngold Violin Concerto (remember Heifetz?) and his own musical legacy (which goes back to the teacher of Heifetz, Leopold Auer)!
