This Thanksgiving weekend, Stefan Sanders conducts Tchaikovsky's great ballet, "The Nutcracker" with Neglia Ballet Artists in two performances at Shea's - Saturday, November 28 at 7pm and Sunday, November 29 at 2pm. Sanders tells WNED that "The Nutcracker" is one of the three great scores of western classical music.

Buffalo based composer Caroline Mallonee talks about her new composition for string quartet inspired by the concept of "the butterfly effect." It will be part of the "Atmosphere and Texture" concert presented by The Buffalo Chamber Players at the Albright Knox Art Gallery on Thursday evening, November 19th at 8pm (but your ticket also allows gallery viewing from 5pm on).

Violinist Jennifer Koh appears this weekend (November 20 at 10:30 am and Saturday, November 21 at 8:00 pm) at Kleinhans Music Hall with JoAnn Falletta conducting the BPO.  Ms. Koh spoke with WNED about her Korean roots and her recording project "Bach and Beyond."

Ukelele Virtuoso Jake Shimabukuro
