WBFO-FM 88.7 is strengthening its commitment to news with the addition of two new weekly series. Beginning October 5, 2015, the Monday through Friday lineup will feature “The Takeaway” at 2 p.m. and “The World” at 3 p.m.
“The Takeaway” is hosted by well-known public radio host John Hockenberry. Its one-hour format features conversations with newsmakers and diverse voices, and relies on contributions from listeners across the country to deliver different perspectives and analysis about daily events. “The Takeaway” also incorporates news leaders from the series’ producing partners, The New York Times and WGBH/Boston.
