The New York State Department of Education requires all holders of professional classroom teaching, educational leadership, or Level III teaching assistant certificates to earn 100 Continuing Teacher and Leader Education (CTLE) hours every five years. Visit the NYSED website for more about CTLE requirements and recordkeeping.

Buffalo Toronto Public Media is a NYSED-approved provider for CTLE requirements. Educators can earn CTLE credit by watching the programs below and submitting reflections, as well as for attending select events. Check here and our events page regularly to learn about future CTLE opportunities!

If you have questions about BTPM’s CTLE offerings, please contact Julia Bibko at JBibko@wned.org.
