Classical WNED Music In The Schools Program

Classical WNED is teaming up with the Buffalo Philharmonic for another semester of our Music In The Schools Program. This year, we’ll be holding a series of classes for students in the Buffalo Public Schools, and in the North Tonawanda Schools! We’re pleased to give students Master Classes in music featuring the great musicians of the Buffalo Philharmonic. WNED’s Music In The Schools Program is made possible because of Members like you!

Here’s a list of our upcoming classes:

Monday, January 13th at Buffalo School #30, Sedita Academy, violist Janz Castelo will hold a string workshop for afterschool students in Grades 3 to 6.

Monday, January 27th at North Tonawanda High School, A Brass Trio will give a presentation on ensemble communication for High School Band Students.

Wednesday, January 29th at Buffalo School #93, Southside Elementary Anna Mattix and Sheryl Hadeka will give woodwind and brass clinics for band students in grades 5 to 8.

Thursday, January 30th at Buffalo School #59, the Drew Science School, Anna Mattix and Sheryl Hadeka will present a Conflict Resolution program for 8th graders.

Friday, January 31st at the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts, A BPO String Quartet will present a Huck Finn program for string students from several Buffalo Schools.

Monday, February 3rd at North Tonawanda Middle School, A Woodwind trio will give a presentation on the unique aspects of woodwinds for middle school band students!
