WNED Classical Music In the Schools Program

Classical WNED is teaming up with the Buffalo Philharmonic for another semester of our Music In The Schools Program. This year, we’ll be holding a series of classes for students in the Buffalo Public Schools, and in the North Tonawanda Schools! We’re pleased to give students Master Classes in music featuring the great musicians of the Buffalo Philharmonic. WNED’s Music In The Schools Program is made possible because of Members like you!

Some of our recent classes included:

At Buffalo School #30, Sedita Academy violist Janz Castelo held a string workshop for afterschool students in Grades 3 to 6.

At North Tonawanda High School A Brass Trio gave a presentation on ensemble communication for High School Band Students.

At Buffalo School #93, Southside Elementary Anna Mattix and Sheryl Hadeka gave woodwind and brass clinics for band students in grades 5 to 8.

At Buffalo School #59, the Drew Science School Anna Mattix and Sheryl Hadeka presented a Conflict Resolution program for 8th graders.

At the Buffalo Academy for Visual and Performing Arts A BPO String Quartet presented a Huck Finn program for string students from several Buffalo Schools.

At North Tonawanda Middle School A Woodwind trio gave a presentation on the unique aspects of woodwinds for middle school band students!
