Your itinerary includes:

8:15 AM: Motorcoach arrives at AAA Amherst branch parking lot

8:30 AM: Depart via motorcoach from AAA Amherst branch
(NOTE: Proof of Citizenship is required when crossing from the US to Canada. Valid Passport or Enhanced Driver License is required to confirm this tour.)

9:45 AM: Arrive Shaw Festival for back stage private tour

10:00 AM: Private back stage tour: find yourself among the stage, costumes, wigs and much more as we take a glimpse into the life of a live theater performance. 

11:00 AM: Approximate conclusion of our private back stage tour; walk to Zee’s Grill 

11:30 AM: Lunch at Zee’s Grill (across the street from Shaw Festival )
Luncheon menu – choose from soup or Zee’s Caesar salad or green salad; choice of entrees selected on tour day: 92 Picton turkey sandwich, brisket sandwich, Cajun basa or Niçoise salad 

1:00-1:30 PM: Approximate conclusion of your luncheon; walk to Festival Theatre

2:00 PM: Performance of “Gypsy” 

5:00 PM: Approximate conclusion of our performance of “Gypsy” Reboard motorcoach for direct return to Buffalo 

6:30 PM: Approximate arrival at AAA Amherst branch

Gypsy Rose Lee was the world’s most famous striptease artist: Mama Rose the ultimate stage Mother. Follow their extraordinary story in Stephen Sondheim’s timeless musical about sex, power & longing. With legendary songs including “Let Me Entertain You” and “Everything’s Coming up Roses,” Gypsy remains one of the greatest American Musicals.

About Anthony Chase

This year, Anthony celebrates his 30th year as the host of “Theater Talk” on WBFO, providing commentary on theater in Western New York, Southern Ontario, and across the continent, and signing off each week with his familiar tag, “And I’m Anthony Chase.” He’s also the creator and producer of Buffalo’s annual professional theater awards, The Arties, which is presented by Buffalo Toronto Public Media. Chase’s honors include being named “Best Media Personality” in Buffalo Spree’s Best of WNY. He serves on the board of directors of Visit Buffalo Niagara. By day, he serves as the Assistant Dean of Arts and Humanities at Buffalo State University, where he teaches theater history and graduate level drama studies. h He is also the star of his hit cabaret show, “Anthony Chase: My LIfe in the Audience,” which plays at the Bittersweet Piano Lounge at the Hotel Lafayette.
